The original event FAQ, preserved for reference. These answers describe the 2025 program; registration is closed.
Do I need an idea to participate?
No. You can bring your own idea or work on a project provided by mentors. You'll also have the opportunity to join another team if you wish.
Do I need a team?
No. You can apply solo. During the first week, you'll have the chance to join or form teams with other participants, or continue as a solo builder.
Do I need to be a developer?
Not at all. Great startups need a mix of talents: developers, designers, marketers, business thinkers, and storytellers. All skill sets are welcome.
Is there a cost to join?
No, the program is free for accepted applicants.
Is there a deposit to join?
Yes. If your application is approved, you’ll be asked to submit a $10 deposit to confirm your spot. This will be fully refunded after the hackathon. The deposit is simply to make sure you’re committed. If you don’t show up, the deposit won’t be refunded.
What happens if I can't commit full-time?
We recommend dedicating at least 20 hours per week to get the most out of the program. All sessions are recorded if you can't attend live.
Is there a prize for winners?
Yes. Top teams will receive access to special mentorship, partner perks, and prizes (to be announced closer to Demo Day).
What are the selection criteria?
We're looking for motivated individuals with curiosity, drive, and a desire to build. No prior startup experience is required, but recommended.
Can I participate from anywhere in the world?
Absolutely. The program is fully online and welcomes Iranian founders and builders from all over the world.
What language is the program in?
The program will be conducted in English, but community support in Farsi will be available.
How many people will be accepted?
We aim to accept a very limited number (about 12-15) of high-potential individuals and teams to maintain quality mentoring and support.
